Eight-module course
Short, organised teaching that joins philosophy, mythology, the senses, nervous system and practice.
Make SENSE of yourself. Make SENSE of yoga.
Understand why you experience life and respond as you do. Build a yoga practice that fits the person, body and life you have now—and, if you teach, turn deep subjects into meaningful classes without joining all the dots alone.

Perhaps you need to see how it all connects—and how yoga can become useful in ordinary life, not only when you roll out a mat.
Use the same connecting architecture to understand yourself more deeply—or to make yoga more meaningful to somebody else.
Understand your own experiences, then find ways to explore yoga that fit your senses, circumstances and body.
Study the five senses, nervous system, philosophy, mythology, chakra lenses and how they meet in ordinary life.
Try short tools when life is happening, longer practices when you have time, and original Indriya Namaskārs through the senses.
Use the handouts, 72-page Chakra Journal and reflection tools to follow your own questions.
Revisit the course and growing library when a different practice or perspective becomes useful.
No teaching experience is needed. The teacher resources are there if you ever want them.
Study the framework for yourself, then bring its ideas into classes with more context, choice and people-aware language.
Explore the same eight modules, original practices, handouts, journal and lifetime access as every participant.
Draw on dedicated resources and class inspiration to connect the course material with what you teach.
Explore the Indriya Namaskārs and sensory and mythic flows as material for your own study and teaching.
Use the CPD Record and Reflective Log; optional assessment and a completion certificate are available when requirements are met.
There is one course and one price. The teacher pathway is included, not a separate purchase.
Your senses gather information. Memory and meaning shape it. Your nervous system prepares you to respond. Yoga can help you investigate what happens next.
Listen and understand. Reflect and make meaning. Explore and embody.
A six-minute tour of the modules, teaching resources, practical tools and growing Practice Library included with your lifetime access.
Short, organised teaching that joins philosophy, mythology, the senses, nervous system and practice.
Frontline tools, longer practices, movement, nidrā, meditation, breath, sound, mantra, mudrā and the Sensory Kitchen.
Course handouts, 72-page Chakra Journal, reflection tools, reference material and Words for the Journey.
Dedicated professional resources, class inspiration, CPD Record and Reflective Log.
Optional assessment and completion certificate for yoga teachers who meet the requirements.
Return as your body, circumstances, sensory thresholds, practice and teaching change.
Understanding is only useful if you can do something with it. The Practice Library turns the course into a flexible resource for real bodies, real circumstances and the time you actually have.
A Loo Reset, Mug Reset, Kālī tongue, Svāhā mudrā and other tools for moments when life is already happening.
Breath, sound, mantra, mudrā, sensory enquiry, reflection or short seated and mat-based movement.
Five-Soldier practices, restorative work, yoga nidrā, meditation, movement and practices for mornings or evenings.
Combine compatible modules into a longer personal practice, class or retreat-style exploration when that is what you want.
Brand-new movement compositions created through the five senses—not generic sequences with a theme placed on top. Explore Namaskārs for the Gatekeeper, Watcher, Listener, Boundary Keeper and Memory Keeper, alongside other original sensory and mythic flows.
No compulsory routine. No single practice presented as right for everybody. Choose one tool—or build something substantial from the library as your body, life and battlefield change.
I bought Making Yoga Make SENSE – The Journey Within by Jackie Quayle and honestly… WOW! It’s absolutely frikkin brilliant. Jackie has such a vast knowledge of yoga philosophy, mythology, anatomy and, perhaps most importantly, an understanding that we’re humans with crazy emotions, energies and needs! She teaches from the heart, with a real passion for sharing her knowledge, and makes deep and sometimes complicated subjects feel accessible and relevant. This course is unlike any other yoga course I’ve attended or bought. Whether you’re a yoga teacher wanting to add some juicy layers of depth to your teaching, or simply someone wanting to explore yoga further, I really can’t recommend it enough. I love that the modules are short and individual, so whether you have 15 minutes or 3 hours, you can dive straight in. If you’re thinking about investing in yourself and your yoga journey, then this is what you need.
Dionne · Yoga Elder and teacher of 20 years
I trained with the British Wheel of Yoga, achieved Yoga Elder status and owned and operated three yoga studios—including the Yoga Bank, built inside a former bank vault.
Throughout my career, I deliberately sought out respected teachers and institutions. My studies have included Leslie Kaminoff, Noah Mazé, Jason Crandell and Sianna Sherman; philosophy and yoga history through the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies; anatomy including cadaveric study; and sustained study in neurobiology, neuroscience and psychology.
But The Journey Within is not a compilation of other people’s teachings. I reverse-engineered my entire yoga career to create it.
I took everything I had studied, taught, agreed with, questioned and sometimes rejected—and investigated how it could become genuinely useful to real people. I returned to original sources, compared interpretations and questioned claims that did not match the evidence or the people standing in front of me.
The same instruction did not affect everybody in the same way. A sound that helped one person concentrate made it impossible for somebody else to think. A scent that carried comfort for one person held a completely different memory for another.
Every person brought their senses, memories, preferences, associations, boundaries, bodies and lived experience with them—yet yoga was often taught as though everybody was receiving the same practice.
I spent two and a half years turning decades of integrated study and teaching into a structured framework, then another year recording, testing, changing and building it into The Journey Within.
I did that so you would not have to repeat the same fragmented journey.
This is not a shortcut around meaningful study.
It is the connecting framework created from decades of it—so practitioners can stop collecting disconnected answers, and teachers can stop building every bridge alone.
